Balance – Balance is a principle of design that is referred as the arrangement of objects, colours, texture and space that visually balances out a design. This insures that a design composition is stable – not one element out weighing the other. The image above is a perfectly clear example of balance within a logo. The round circled objects seen underneath the text on the left is balanced out with the same circles appearing on the upper right side of the text. The two complement each other and make the design symmetrically balanced. Not only can we see balance within the arrangement of the objects but can also be seen through the colours as well. The two common forms of balance is: Symmetrical and Asymmetrical.
